David Rigell is a native Floridian, born and raised in Titusville, Florida.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the
University of Florida in 1976, and went on to obtain his Juris Doctor
degree from the University of Florida in 1979. He was admitted to the
Florida Bar in 1980.
David began his practice at a civil litigation firm, handling both Circuit
Court and Workers’ Compensation cases. In 1993 he founded his own
firm, specializing in workers’ compensation and employment related
litigation. Although his 45-year practice consisted primarily of
representing defendants, employers, and carriers, he always enjoyed
representing injured workers when given the opportunity to do so. He
was well known for his depth of case preparation and creative and
compelling legal arguments. He has been AV Rated by Martindale-
Hubbell since 1990. David has received his certification from the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit Civil Mediator.

David has been a sought-after speaker for over 30 years on a wide range of
topics. He was a founding speaker of the
WCCP Adjuster Board Certification Course on the crucial and
challenging topics of compensability, course and scope; and arising out of
employment. He has been an invited speaker at the Workers’
Compensation Educational Conference on several occasions.
Having recently retired from the full-time practice of law, David now
seeks to use his considerable skill and experience assisting parties
resolve issues and settle cases.
